Data Scientist II

Salary: £80,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or another technical field. • We require 2–5+ years of professional experience applying machine learning and data mining techniques to solve real-world problems with substantial data sets. • We require programming experience focused on machine learning, including SQL and Pythons Data Science stack. • We value good knowledge of at least one big data framework such as PySpark, Hive, or Hadoop. • We consider R, SPSS, and SAS nice-to-have skills. • We require a strong understanding of machine learning methods and experience applying them in complex, data-rich environments. • We require the ability to prototype and deploy statistical and machine learning algorithms and translate analytical outputs into data-driven solutions. • Experience deploying ML/AI technologies into production or applied business environments is a plus. • Familiarity with Generative AI and agentic systems is a strong plus. • We require excellent time management skills to handle responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous environment. • We require willingness to travel. • We require strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and local office language(s), with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences and seniority levels.
