Business Analyst

Overview

The Revenue Cycle Business Informaticist is responsible for optimizing and managing the revenue cycle processes through the effective use of the Epic EMR system, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the corresponding financial data. This role involves analyzing, designing, implementing and supporting revenue cycle information systems to enhance operational efficiency, financial performance and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position will also work closely with the Controller to ensure the monthly financial reports are accurate and complete, tie back to Epic data and reflect the business unit/service level detail.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Leads or participates in the implementation and optimization of Epic EMR modules related to revenue cycle management, including but not limited to billing, claims, accounts receivable, and patient access. • Works with the finance department to ensure data transfer from Epic is accurate and revenue in the accounting system is accurate at the Business unit and service line level. • As a Revenue Cycle Builder, configures and customizes the Epic EMR system to meet the specific needs of the revenue cycle processes, providing ongoing support and maintenance for Epic to ensure data integrity and system functionality. • Develops and generates regular and ad hoc reports to support revenue cycle operations and decision making. • Develops and maintains monthly dashboard of key indicators and external…
