Salary: $144,315 to $154,879 plus up to 12.75% super

About your role

As Principal Data Scientist, you will play a key role in enhancing Metro South Health's Business Intelligence and Analytics capability, using advanced data science techniques to solve complex healthcare challenges.

• Lead advanced data science initiatives using machine learning, statistical analysis and large-scale data. • Develop and deploy end-to-end analytics solutions, from data preparation and feature engineering through to model implementation. • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, data quality issues and actionable insights. • Partner with clinical and executive stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data and analytics solutions. • Mentor and guide teams in data science best practice, governance, methodologies and standards.

About you

You are an experienced data science professional who combines strong technical capability with the ability to understand complex business and clinical needs.

• Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, data mining and predictive modelling. • Demonstrated experience using Python, R, SQL or similar languages to analyse large datasets. • Strong capability in data transformation, feature engineering, visualisation and BI dashboard development. • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians, executives and technical teams. • Ability to work…
