Senior Frontend Developer

ReelData AI is hiring a Senior Front-end Developer to lead the development of our dashboard used by aquaculture farms to understand fish appetite, weight and welfare.

As a Senior Front-end Developer, you’ll help shape the tools aquaculture operators use every day to monitor fish health, biomass, feeding, and tank performance. You’ll work across product, design, and back-end engineering to turn complex operational data into intuitive, reliable experiences used by customers in production.

This role is remote within Nova Scotia, with occasional visits to customer farm sites or the ReelData location in Dartmouth. Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada and able to support Nova Scotia-based work and travel requirements.

What you’ll do

• Lead front-end development for ReelData’s Operations Dashboard, working across biomass, welfare, feeding, tank monitoring, and analytics workflows. • Translate product requirements, and customer feedback into design concepts and polished, accessible interfaces. • Build and maintain reusable React and TypeScript components, data visualizations, tables, forms, and interactive workflows. • Drive the design of the ReelData’s Operations Dashboard to meet usability standards. • Integrate front-end experiences with GraphQL and REST APIs, partnering closely with back-end engineers on data contracts and performance. • Improve application performance, including rendering large datasets, optimizing network requests, and reducing unnecessary…
