SC Cleared GCP DevOps Engineer - Outside IR35

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to help shape and validate a secure, scalable Google Cloud Platform environment within a large, regulated organisation.

Working alongside the Cloud Architect, you will review the current GCP estate, test proposed technical approaches and turn the target platform design into practical, deliverable engineering recommendations. This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on landing zones, governance, security and automation.

The Role

You will provide senior technical expertise across the design and assurance of an enterprise GCP platform, helping ensure the future‑state environment is secure, well governed and ready for implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the existing GCP organisation structure, projects, access model and wider platform configuration. • Contribute technical expertise to the design of a GCP landing zone and associated governance standards. • Assess IAM, organisation policies, audit trails and security controls to identify gaps or improvements. • Validate the use of services such as Security Command Center, logging and monitoring within the target platform. • Build proof of concepts to demonstrate landing‑zone, project provisioning and governance capabilities. • Develop reusable infrastructure automation using Terraform and GCP landing‑zone frameworks. • Support the automation of engineering delivery through CI/CD tooling, including GitHub Actions. • Highlight…
