Information Security Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a journeyman-level Linux Server Administrator to support the installation, configuration, operation, security, and maintenance of Linux-based systems in a mission-critical Department of Defense environment. The successful candidate will monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, perform system hardening and patching, manage user access, and maintain system documentation.

This position requires full-time, on-site work in Middletown, Rhode Island, and may require occasional travel to customer or program locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux servers, operating systems, and supporting infrastructure. • Monitor system availability, performance, capacity, security, and resource utilization. • Diagnose and resolve server hardware, operating system, storage, application, and network connectivity issues. • Perform operating system patching, software updates, configuration changes, and routine system maintenance. • Secure and harden Linux systems in accordance with organizational policies, DoD requirements, and applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). • Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, privileged access,…
