Senior Manager, Technology

The New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE), presents a unique opportunity for a full-time hands-on Senior Manager of Engineering to lead a core engineering team responsible for maintenance and modernization of web-based test management platform for exchange testing. This role carries significant ownership — the test platform underpins quality assurance for all trading systems at NYSE.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for consolidating test systems into a unified platform: centralized test repository, modern execution engine, and web-based UI for authoring, monitoring, and analysis. • Drive architectural decisions, focusing on React/TypeScript frontend, Java/Python async backend, Kafka event streaming, and integration with existing C++/Java execution infrastructure. • Define system requirements for performance, scalability, reliability, and security (SLAs, throughput, latency targets). • Promote engineering standards, design patterns, and best practices across the team • Own planning and prioritization of the platform roadmap in quarterly increments; track progress against commitments. • Proficiency in using of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent) as a daily part of the development workflow

Knowledge and Experience
