Software Engineer

In this position...

The successful candidate will be part of the V&V Automation & Architecture team, working within the Test Strategy, Process, Toolchain and Reporting team. This team is responsible for defining, improving, and automating the processes, tools, integrations, and reporting capabilities that enable effective verification and validation across Ford’s software and vehicle programs.

In this role, you will design and develop software solutions that automate manual workflows, improve test data quality, integrate key engineering tools, and provide meaningful visibility into testing status, traceability, compliance, KPIs, and program deliverables. You will help establish and maintain the connective tissue across tools such as JIRA, Jama, TestRail, BI/reporting platforms, and other internal systems.

What you'll do...

• Develop software solutions, scripts, integrations, dashboards, and automation capabilities that improve how V&V teams plan, execute, track, and report testing activities. • Support the definition and implementation of L2, L3, and L4 testing processes, including their interconnectivity, dependencies, handoffs, and alignment with Ford development and release processes. • Establish day-to-day toolchain usage guidelines, test tool configuration standards, and process documentation to ensure consistent execution across teams and programs. • Build and maintain integrations between engineering tools such as JIRA, Jama, TestRail, BI platforms, and other…
