About the role:

The Cloud Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role ensures scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support business operations and digital transformation initiatives.

The Cloud Specialist provides strategic leadership in the design, optimisation and governance of Council's cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and service for optimal performance and cost efficiency. • Design and maintain the enterprise cloud architecture, including networking, identity, security, monitoring and governance. • Establish cloud landing zones and architectural standards for cloud deployments. • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to the organisation’s infrastructure platform. • Assess existing on-premise infrastructure and applications to determine suitability for cloud migration. • Develop migration strategies including rehost, replatform, refactor or SaaS adoption approaches. • Plan and lead migration waves and…
