AI Led Software Engineer

Salary: $150-160K plus benefits

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Within this role you will direct, review and take responsibility for software built with AI. The role sits within the in-house team responsible for IT operations, custom software development, business analysis and digital innovation.

Reporting to the Development Manager, you'll work in a small delivery team alongside engineers, testers, business analysts and product owners. Most implementation is carried out by AI agents. The value of this role is in framing the problem, holding an accurate model of the system, specifying work precisely enough to be built, deciding when work is ready to build, and proving the result is correct.

This organisation delivers software through a defined lifecycle and each phase has a purpose, a required output, and a control point that only a person can clear.
