Lead DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Salary: £78,000 - 78,000 per year

Requirements:

• Substantial practical experience in cloud engineering, automation, and the software delivery lifecycle • Strong hands-on experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, Terraform, AKS, and CI/CD pipelines • Solid scripting and software engineering capability • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and coaching engineers • Ability to make an immediate impact within an established engineering function • At least five years continuous UK residency, making you eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance • Ability to attend our Newport office regularly and participate in in-person interview stages

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and develop infrastructure as code • Support cloud deployments, troubleshoot issues, and contribute code where required • Lead, coach, and line manage a team of DevOps engineers • Drive technical decision-making and promote DevOps best practices across teams and services • Work closely with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to modernise platforms and improve delivery capability • Influence technical direction across multiple workstreams in a complex transformation environment
