IT Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience supporting VMware virtualization platforms in an on-premises infrastructure environment. • Good working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related infrastructure services. • Experience supporting backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes in a business environment. • Understanding of networking principles, including VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless technologies, and cloud networking concepts. • Experience administering or supporting Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online. • Awareness of or practical experience with Microsoft Azure services, such as virtual machines, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and backup. • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical incidents using structured troubleshooting methods. • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation. • Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands, and work effectively independently and as part of a wider IT team. • Desirable: Experience with enterprise storage platforms, including SAN or NAS technologies. • Desirable: Awareness of IT security controls, vulnerability management, infrastructure patching, and compliance requirements. • Desirable: Experience in an ITIL-aligned support or service management environment. • Desirable: Relevant technical certifications…
