Systems Administrator

Amentum is seeking a System Administrator Professional to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC).

Key Responsibilities:

• System Administration: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot a variety of systems, including Windows and Linux servers and workstations, as well as network infrastructure such as routers, switches, and firewalls. • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level technical support to identify, analyze, and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues. This includes serving as an escalation point for user-reported problems (Tier 1 and 2). • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor system performance, resource utilization, and network traffic to identify and address potential issues. Perform routine preventative maintenance, backups, and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and operational continuity. • Works with the Cybersecurity team to implement and maintain cybersecurity measures in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) directives. This includes applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), managing vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and ensuring systems maintain their Authority to Operate (ATO) under the Risk Management Framework (RMF). • Write procedures and/or reports, as applicable, to support existing or new processes, or as required to summarize data collected during engineering level testing. • Perform other tasks as assigned
