Job Summary

At American Electric Power, the AI Solutions & Enablement team builds the platforms, guardrails, and solutions that let teams across the company work smarter, spanning both artificial intelligence and enterprise automation. We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to be the bridge between the business units we serve and the architects and engineers who build for them. You will partner closely with business teams to uncover how work is performed, translate that understanding into clear requirements, and work alongside our architects to shape candidate solutions.

What You'll Do

Understanding the Business

• Partner with business units to understand their objectives, pain points, processes, and data. • Document current-state processes and quantify the opportunity: volume, effort, cycle time, error rates, and the business value at stake. • Facilitate working sessions, interviews, and process walkthroughs with stakeholders ranging from field operations to corporate functions.

Requirements and Solution Definition

• Translate business needs into clear, testable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows. • Work with architects and business stakeholders to frame the problem, evaluate solution options, apply the team’s tool selection criteria, and define the path to production. • Surface the constraints that…
