DevOps Engineer - Greenfield Azure and AI

Peaple Talent are partnered with a leading national professional services firm to recruit a hands-on DevOps Engineer for their Bristol office.

Following continuous growth and ongoing investment in cloud and AI capabilities, our client is strengthening their IT Operations function. The successful candidate will be pivotal in designing, building, and scaling the cloud platform foundations used across their IT and Software Engineering teams, with a core focus on their new Azure environment.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience (4+ years) delivering DevOps, cloud platform, or infrastructure automation outcomes. • Deep expertise in Terraform for reusable IaC modules and deployment patterns. • Hands-on proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines (principally GitHub). • Solid background in Azure (or AWS/GCP), including landing zones, networking (DNS, firewalls, load balancing), and Zero Trust principles. • Practical understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes and the software development lifecycle. • Knowledge of cloud financial management (FinOps), monitoring/observability, and security controls. • Desirable: Experience supporting AI/data workloads or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
