Software Engineer (Data Platform)

- Experience with Databricks or a similar data platform - Proficiency in Python; working knowledge of SQL - Familiarity with, or genuine openness to, working with AI coding agents and assistants; you don't need to be an expert, but you should be curious about using agentic AI thoughtfully and responsibly - Comfortable asking questions, working through unclear requirements, and learning from the engineers around you - Some familiarity with data engineering concepts like ETL pipelines, data modeling, or workflow orchestration - 2 to 5 years of software engineering experience using at least one of the major cloud providers, ideally in infrastructure or data platform roles - Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools for managing cloud resources - If you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles - Experience with multi-cloud (AWS, GCP) - Additional data engineering experience with Spark, Delta Lake, or similar frameworks - Contributed to machine learning productization and/or have used MLOps frameworks - Experience tuning big data workloads for performance and cost efficiency - Knowledge of data governance, access control, and compliance practices - Familiarity with Databricks account-level administration & Unity Catalog
