Lead Data Engineer

We're working with a growing technology business looking for an experienced Data Engineering Team Lead to take ownership of its data engineering capability and help shape the future of its cloud data platform.

With a transition from AWS to Azure underway, this is an opportunity to lead from the front, combining hands-on engineering with architecture, solution design and technical leadership.

You'll have genuine ownership over technical decisions, platform design and engineering standards, while remaining closely involved in delivery.

Location: Brisbane preferred (Fully Remote) Salary: $190k-$200k + Super

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, architecture and development of scalable cloud data solutions. • Take technical ownership of the data platform, with Snowflake playing a central role. • Help architect and deliver the transition from AWS to Azure. • Remain hands-on across data engineering, pipelines, integrations and platform development. • Establish engineering standards, best practices and scalable design patterns. • Provide technical direction, mentoring and guidance to other engineers. • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. • Balance approximately 70% hands-on technical delivery with 30% technical leadership and broader responsibilities.
