Head of Information Security

Salary: £75,000 - 125,000 per year

Requirements:

• Significant information or cybersecurity experience grounded in hands-on technical work • Strong experience securing enterprise network and infrastructure environments • Good knowledge of cloud security, ideally Microsoft 365 and Azure • Strong understanding of identity, authentication, privileged access and access control • Experience applying NIST CSF, CIS Controls or ISO 27001 as practical tools, with a record of improving security standards and policies • Desirable: Google Enterprise knowledge, a recognised security certification, experience in an international or multi-site organisation, or experience in publishing, media or another IP-rich sector

Responsibilities:

• Set information security direction, standards and priorities for an international business • Define effective security practices and shape proportionate, practical controls • Constructively challenge network, infrastructure and cloud configurations with engineers and suppliers • Provide expertise and oversight across vulnerability management, security monitoring and incident response • Explain security risks and their business impact clearly to executives • Drive improvements through to implementation with teams that do not report directly to you
