Data Engineer

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) Hours: Full‑time, 40 hours per week

About the role

Cygnet is strengthening its data capability following a period of change, with a focus on building a sustainable, well‑supported engineering environment.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing team supporting key business areas, including clinical, finance and corporate services.

This role forms part of a restructured team model, designed to improve resilience, clarify ownership and support long‑term career development.

You will work collaboratively with other data engineers, BI professionals and stakeholders, with clear priorities, shared platform responsibility and realistic delivery expectations.

Ways of working

Hybrid model:

• Birmingham office every Monday • One additional office day aligned to team needs • Remaining days remote • Workload and priorities are actively managed to balance BAU support and project delivery • Engineering standards, documentation and knowledge‑sharing are treated as core responsibilities, not after‑hours work

What you’ll be doing

You will help design, build and maintain our data platform as we continue our journey onto Snowflake, working across clearly defined data domains while contributing to shared platform components.
