Senior Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric

£70,000-£80,000 | Lancashire | One day per week in the office

You've built with Microsoft Fabric. Now you want the room to make decisions, solve problems and take ownership of how a platform develops.

This role gives you that scope. Fabric is already in place, with foundations to build on and plenty to improve. You'll help move the business towards a more consistent, scalable approach to data engineering, creating pipelines and models that support reporting, analytics and day-to-day operations.

Working alongside BI, analytics and software development colleagues, you'll combine hands-on engineering with helping others get more from the platform.

What you'll get stuck into

• Building and improving Fabric pipelines and notebooks. • Creating reusable data models and reliable ingestion processes across APIs and databases. • Using SQL and Python to automate processing and reduce manual work. • Structuring and optimising data for Power BI. • Improving data quality and establishing engineering practices colleagues can build on.

You'll have a say in how things are designed and the responsibility to see them through. It's a good fit if you enjoy understanding the business problem as much as building the technical solution.
