This is an evolution of the traditional Product Manager role — you will not only define the “what and why” of the product roadmap, but you will author detailed technical specifications that give engineering teams the clarity to build with confidence. You will be embedded within engineering workflows, participating in design reviews, reviewing pull requests for spec alignment, and writing prototypes and code to validate your own assumptions.
