About the role

The System and Network Engineer will be responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, monitoring and support of computer systems, servers, operating environments and associated network infrastructure across managed client environments. The position requires a hands-on ICT professional who can maintain reliable and secure systems, troubleshoot technical issues and support the ongoing performance of client IT environments.

Key responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, administering and maintaining servers, operating systems, workstations and associated IT infrastructure across managed client environments. • Administering Windows Server environments and related services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services, user accounts and access permissions. • Monitoring system and server performance, availability and capacity, and identifying and resolving operational or performance issues. • Diagnosing and troubleshooting server, operating system, workstation, network and related hardware and software issues. • Administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune and associated cloud and endpoint management environments. • Configuring and maintaining virtualised environments, VPNs, VLANs and other network services supporting client systems. • Managing system backups, monitoring backup performance and assisting with data recovery and restoration activities when required. • Managing user access, security…
