Job description We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II with deep systems thinking, data engineering expertise, and a product-oriented mindset to join our Treasury FX function — spanning both the Market Data and Risk Engineering teams.

Our team builds the real-time infrastructure that powers Wise's FX pricing, risk management, and trade execution. We aggregate market data from Bloomberg and Reuters, compute live exposure and VaR, execute hedges worth tens to hundreds of millions of pounds daily, and protect the business from adverse currency movements. Our systems are tier- 1 and serve 50+ internal consumers with sub-second freshness across 50+ currency pairs.

You will be the technical anchor across both engineering teams, owning the architectural direction of 14+ production services, from rate ingestion and distribution, through real-time risk calculation, to automated hedge execution.
