Lead Data Scientist (Insurance)

North Co Recruitment are working with a leading UK retail insurer to appoint a Lead Data Scientist. It's a role with genuine technical range - deep learning, predictive analytics and machine learning - and a direct line of sight into how your models shape business decisions, rather than sitting behind someone else's.

What you'll do

• Build and evaluate machine learning models, from deep learning through to predictive analytics, that solve genuine business problems. • Own the data science lifecycle across large, multi-source datasets, from analysis and cleansing through to deployment. • Apply a broad statistical toolkit, from GLMs and random forest to NLP, clustering and scenario analysis, to generate insight that gets acted on. • est and develop new external data sources to keep the team's analytical edge sharp. • Partner directly with in-house technology and data delivery teams to move solutions from build into production. • Review the work of junior team members, sharing good practice as the function grows. • Spot and pitch new opportunities across the business where data science can add real value.

What we're looking for
