Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £32,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience delivering and supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure in enterprise environments. • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS, including secure, scalable IaaS and PaaS solutions. • Hands-on experience managing VMware environments and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (e.g. HPE SimpliVity). • Proven experience designing and managing high availability, disaster recovery and backup solutions. • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including routing, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN and load balancing. • Experience implementing infrastructure security best practices, including CIS compliance, vulnerability management and identity controls. • Skilled in supporting major incidents, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) and cross-functional collaboration. • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, with experience supporting container platforms such as Kubernetes.

Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of IT projects by providing cloud and infrastructure expertise across on-premises and cloud environments. • Collaborate with Architecture teams to develop and implement cloud and infrastructure strategies. • Resolve cloud and infrastructure incidents, service requests and technical issues in line with SLAs. • Provide SME support during major incidents, driving rapid resolution and continuous improvement. • Partner with Managed Service Providers and internal teams to…
