VP of Engineering

Salary: £27,500 - 55,500 per year

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an AI-augmented developer, with proficiency in tools such as Windsurf, Claude Code, and Model Context Protocols (MCPs) to accelerate engineering delivery • Strong understanding of Engineering 2.0 principles, using AI and intelligent automation to enhance how software is designed, built, tested, and deployed • Hands-on experience with machine learning concepts and the ability to integrate ML models into production applications and data pipelines • Proficiency with Snowflake for data warehousing, analytics, and building scalable data platforms • Experience designing and building event streaming architectures using technologies such as Apache Kafka and Azure Event Hubs • Strong working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud services, including compute, storage, serverless, and container orchestration • Solid experience with .NET/C# and SQL Server for building enterprise-grade applications and data access layers • Expert knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and modern architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven, and CQRS • Experience and knowledge in Agile delivery, ideally with Scrum experience • Experience delivering high-volume, highly available enterprise applications in regulated environments • Strong knowledge of TDD, Continuous Integration, and automation practices • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tooling • Ability to critically analyse…
