Software Engineer / Developer (Python GenAI LLM RAG) London 12 month FTC to £180k

Are you a Senior Software Engineer with a strong knowledge of the capabilities of GenAI?

You could be progressing your career in a hands‑on role at a tech driven, global Asset Manager with multiple billions of dollars under management, on a 12 month Fixed term Contract.

As a Software Engineer you'll join the Investment Technology Research team and work closely with Investment Analysts on a mix of prototyping, evaluation and engineering. The work is interesting and complex, spanning Python development, RAG and retrieval workflows, MCP and tool integrations, model evaluation and the engineering needed to turn promising ideas into reliable internal tools.

You'll be at the intersection of platform engineering, data engineering and developer experience, with a strong emphasis on enabling others. You will work directly with stakeholders and users to identify opportunities, troubleshoot issues and deliver platform capabilities that improve the quality, speed and reliability of analytical functions.

You'll seek continuous improvement and pick new things up on the job as the tech stack evolves.

Location / WFH:

There's a hybrid work from home policy with three days in the London office per week where you'll join a supportive, diverse team environment with a large range of facilities.
