IT Systems & Data Analyst

The opportunity

Federation Council is seeking an IT Systems & Data Analyst to provide system analysis and strategic support by leveraging technology and data.

The primary focus of this role is to drive operational excellence and informed decision-making while improving business processes and data governance. You will utilise your broad knowledge of IT systems to identify and oversee procedural improvements, and you will be responsible for transforming raw corporate data into actionable business intelligence through the design of high-quality reporting.

In this role you will, but not limited to:

• Design, develop, and deliver a structured suite of corporate reports and interactive business intelligence dashboards using data from core Council systems, such as Authority, Asset Register, GIS, and Customer Request System. • Execute advanced data extraction and manipulation across diverse enterprise databases using SQL queries to meet departmental reporting needs. • Conduct 'fit for purpose' reviews of corporate systems, proactively identifying systemic inefficiencies and developing data-driven business cases for improvement projects. • Collaborate effectively with IT vendors to manage projects, ensuring Council's technology budget is applied strategically and efficiently. • Provide Tier 2 operational support, system administration, and end-user training to ensure staff effectively utilise Council's IT solutions. • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation,…
