Position Overview:

This positions will support Sutter Health’s value-based care programs.

A senior technical leader who architects, engineers, and delivers complex, enterprise-level data product ecosystems. This role translates highly ambiguous business needs into robust full-stack technical solutions, owning the system architecture, performance strategy, and mentoring a team of engineers to elevate the engineering maturity of the department. An expert in the full BI stack—from database optimization to application UX architecture—and is responsible for solving the most complex, ambiguous problems that span multiple systems. This role acts as a primary technical advisor to leadership and formally mentors other engineers.

Job Description:

*Please Note: While this position is listed as hybrid, regular in-office attendance is required. Candidates should be prepared to commute to the Sacramento office on a consistent basis to support team collaboration and business needs.*

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

• Epic Cogito Certification within one year of start date. • Multiple tool-specific certification within one year of start date
